Privacy statement
How Tubi handles the personal data of the shops and importers that contact us or order from us. Last updated 26 October 2026.
Who is responsible
Tubi, Calle Los Poncianos, Cieneguilla, Lima, Peru, company number (RUC) 10104793466, is responsible for the personal data described here. For any question about it, write to contact@tubialpacas.com.
What we collect
- Through the order form: your company name and trading name, address, VAT, EORI or importer number, contact name, email address, phone number, country, and the alpacas, label and delivery you choose.
- By email or WhatsApp: what you write to us and the details you share, such as your name, company and phone number.
- When you visit the site: the technical data any web server receives, such as your IP address and browser, in the server logs of our host.
Google Analytics counts our visits and the pages read. It stores two cookies for visitors outside Europe and none for visitors in Europe, with its ads features off. See the cookies page.
Why we use it
To prepare your quotation, to process and ship your order, to send the proforma, invoice and export documents, and to answer your questions. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or the steps before one, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. We keep invoices and order records as long as tax and trade law asks.
Where it is kept
- Orders and quotations are kept in our order system, hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt).
- Email runs on Google Workspace; the emails about your order (quotation, proforma, confirmations) are sent through Resend.
- Messages on your order page can be translated between English and Spanish for our workshop, using Claude by Anthropic.
- Against abuse, the order system keeps a scrambled (salted hash) form of your IP address, never the address itself.
- The website is served by Vercel, and its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
Some of these providers are based in the United States and process data there under the safeguards they offer, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or rent your data, and we share it only with the providers above, our workshop and the carrier that delivers your order.
What stays in your own browser
The wishlist and an unfinished order are kept in your browser's local storage, so you can come back to them. They never leave your device until you send the order, and you can delete them by clearing your browser data.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records: as long as tax law requires, at most ten years. Quotations that did not lead to an order and other messages: up to two years after the last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to receive it in a common format, or object to its use, by writing to contact@tubialpacas.com. We answer within one month. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
