How is Untrimmed different from the Naturals?
The fur is left long instead of trimmed, so every alpaca is fuller and a little wilder. It looks like an alpaca just before shearing, and each one looks and feels a little different.
Which sizes are there, and how many fit in a box?
Mini 15 cm (6"), Small 23 cm (9"), Medium 32 cm (12.5") and Large 48 cm (19"). One export box holds 200 Mini, 90 Small, 40 Medium and 20 Large.
What is the minimum order?
$350 for the whole order, not per item. You can mix any collection, shade and size to reach it. Toys and accessories count together towards their price tiers. Rugs count on their own towards theirs.
How do the price tiers work?
Under 100 pieces you pay the standard price per piece. From 100 pieces it is about 5% lower, and from 500 pieces about 10% lower. Toys and accessories count together. Rugs are counted on their own: under 30, from 30 and from 100.
How long does an order take?
You get a quotation with shipping options within 24 hours. Half the amount starts production, and the order is ready in 2 to 8 weeks. Pieces that are already made only need your label, so they can leave sooner.
Can the alpacas carry my own label?
Every piece carries the Tubi hang tag as standard, at no extra cost. Private label costs $0.20 extra per piece: your own hang tag, made to your design.
Can I reorder the same shade later?
Yes. Every hide is sorted by shade before work starts, so a reorder matches your first order. You can reorder any time, from the same 350 minimum.
Do you ship to my country?
We ship door to door, or ex works when you have your own forwarder in Peru. So far we have shipped to United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy and South Korea. Is your country not on the list? Get in touch and we check it for you.
Which papers and safety documents come with the order?
The commercial invoice, the packing list and the certificate of origin, in the workshop's own name. Compliant for international markets, with the relevant safety tests: tell us the countries you sell in, and the documents for those markets come with the order.
How do you clean an alpaca stuffed animal?
Wipe the fur with a soft cloth dampened in lukewarm water, with a drop of mild soap or baby shampoo for a stain. Let it dry at room temperature, away from direct sun and heaters, then shake or brush it softly. Alpaca fur is resilient and springs back; keep it out of the washing machine and hot water, which can felt the fur.
Is alpaca fur hypoallergenic?
Alpaca fur has no lanolin, the wax in sheep's wool that many wool allergies react to. That is why alpaca fur is called hypoallergenic.
