Alpaca toy safety and compliance
Tubi alpaca fur stuffed animals are safe and compliant for international markets. Every alpaca is tested by an independent accredited laboratory for mechanical safety, flammability and metals, and passes.
Ready to sell in Europe, Asia, the United States and the Middle East. The test results can always be shown and sent on request.

Are Tubi alpaca stuffed animals safe?
Yes, Tubi alpaca fur stuffed animals are completely safe and compliant for international markets. Each collection is tested on several levels and passes.
For the child
Every alpaca is tested in three ways. The eyes, the nose and the seams take a measured pull and twist, and nothing may come loose or leave a small part behind. The fur and body are tested for how a flame spreads, and the material is tested for lead, cadmium and other metals a child could take in.
For your shop
The alpacas come with the age label on them and the EU Declaration of Conformity or the US certificate for your market, so a customs officer or a marketplace can be answered straight away. The test results can always be shown and sent on request. Alpaca fur has no lanolin, which is why it suits customers with a wool allergy.

Questions about safety
Are Tubi alpaca stuffed animals safe?
Yes, Tubi alpaca fur stuffed animals are safe and compliant for international markets. Every alpaca is tested for mechanical safety, flammability and metals under EN 71 and ASTM F963, and passes.
Which markets are the alpaca toys compliant for?
Europe, Asia, the United States and the Middle East. For any other country, name it with your quotation request and we check what it asks for before work starts.
Can I see the test results for the alpaca stuffed animals?
Yes. The test results can always be shown and sent on request, to confirm what this page says. Name the standards your market needs when you place your order.
Do the alpaca toys carry the CE mark?
Yes. Every order comes with an EU Declaration of Conformity under the toy directive 2009/48/EC, and UKCA for Great Britain.
Is there a Children's Product Certificate for the alpaca toys in the US?
Yes, on request. It is based on the ASTM F963-23 result, and every alpaca carries the tracking label the CPSIA asks for.
Do I have to test the alpaca toys myself?
No. Every alpaca has been tested and the declarations come from us, with the age label already on the alpacas. As the importer you only give the numbers your customs ask for, such as an EORI or importer of record number.
Do the eyes and the nose on the alpaca toys stay on?
Yes, they are tested for it. Under EN 71-1 and ASTM F963 a laboratory pulls and twists each eye, the nose and the seams with a fixed force, and an alpaca only passes when nothing comes loose and no small part is left behind.
Are the colours on alpaca stuffed animals safe?
Yes. Every alpaca, natural or coloured, is tested under EN 71-3 for metals such as lead, cadmium and chromium VI, and the dyes and finishes stay within the REACH limits.
Is alpaca fur hypoallergenic?
Alpaca fur has no lanolin, the wax in sheep's wool that many wool allergies react to. That is why alpaca fur is called hypoallergenic.
